Delete your StepGuardian account & data
There are two ways to delete your StepGuardian parent account and your family's data. The web request on this page works without signing in.

Option A
Delete your parent account
Delete right in the app
The fastest way: open the parent app and go to [Settings > Account > Delete account].
Request by email — no sign-in needed
Already uninstalled the app, or can't get in? Request it by email. We verify it's you by confirming you own the account email.
- Send the email from the address you signed up with.
- We confirm you own the account email, then start the deletion.

Option B
What about my child's device?
Your child's device has no account. The child app connects with a 6-digit invite code instead of a login — no email, no password.
That's why deleting your parent account also deletes the data collected from your child's device. There's no separate request to send for your child.
If you only want to disconnect the family link, you don't need to delete your account. Open [Family management] in the parent app to unlink your child.
What gets deleted
What is deleted?
Once deletion completes, the data below is removed from all of our systems.

How long does deletion take?
We complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming your request.
Partial deletion
Only want to delete some data?
To remove specific data such as location history, you don't need to delete your account. The parent app walks you through per-item deletion under [Settings > Account].
Even without a request, location & route history is deleted automatically after 90 days, and family chat after 60 days.
