17-year-old wearing headphones and looking at her phone dies after being hit by a tram

In January 2018, a 17-year-old in Karlsruhe-Neureut, Germany, was hit by a tram while distracted by her phone and wearing headphones. She died the next day from head injuries.

On Jan. 17, 2018, a 17-year-old was hit by a tram in Karlsruhe-Neureut and suffered life-threatening injuries. Police said she had been distracted by her phone and was wearing headphones. She died in hospital the next day from head injuries.

What this case shows
